@random_sapiens@mastodon-belgium.be you should try and work on reducing your monthly peak. That is where the most taxes are. I've been doing this myself and reduces the total amount we pay a lot. While not having to save extra energy.

@stippel66@mastodon.nl ik laat de WP zo veel mogelijk draaien met eigen zonnestroom. Om minder van het net te halen. Enkel in putje winter moet nog van net gehaald worden. Verder doorheen het jaar warm water gratis van de zon via zonnepanelen.

And heat pump is running more constantly at a slower pace to avoid peaks. Last month we had a blast cooking and consuming elec during the negative price hours. While keeping the peak below 4kW. It would be better if the peak is not recording when the hours are negative. But we make do with the current rules
