So Forsyth Count, GA has two commissioner seats up for election.
One of the Republican incumbents is facing a primary challenge and it's the most terminally online thing that I have ever witnessed.
The main challenger is a Substacking, 9/11 truther, MAGA, conspiracy theorist.
The incumbent is a pretty boring "don't fuck with the money" Republican who is well connected in the local Republican establishment.
They are sniping at each other on facebook. Posting across a few dozen locally focused facebook groups. They are both posting screenshots of their comments and replies (from facebook) so everyone can see their mic drops.
Also, everyone is making AI slop images to go with their posts.
It's so cringe.

There are days where it feels like my job is just to tell someone "please stop hitting yourself and do this the standard, easy way".

Asking copilot/chatgpt/etc is just becoming the business equivalent of doing augury for every single decision.

Cycling to new IPs is trivial, I ban a few thousand IPs and cidr ranges in my WAF, I’ll see 75% of them show up the next time the scraper hits. Then after that most don’t show up again and the next scrape comes from a mostly new set of IPs.
I’ve see A few instances where they will cycle IPs during the same scraping event if some of them are blocked.
I’ve got scrapers that will send every request from a unique IP.
There is a lot of money to be made right now offering hard to block scraping services or tools to enable them.

It's questionable if many of the people living under the Taliban want to live the way the Taliban want them to live.
Unfortunately, short of external military intervention, it's unlikely that the Taliban will cease being the rulers of Afghanistan anytime in the near future.

I think it's a universal law that any company that exclusively sells software through a sales team (while having no fully automated self on boarding process) will sell licenses/SKUs of the software that have no relationship to the actual structure of the software or the features that can be toggled on and off for a customer.
