Where To Find Me:
👋 I'm new to the kind.social server! I'm a collection development librarian now working in admin. I read a lot - mainly romance and mystery. I watch a fair amount of sports (Detroit Tigers, Buffalo Bills), and drink more tea than is probably advisable. Looking forward to poking around here, finding some new folks to follow.
Take a deep breath and head over to the Bat Cave to read about the 17 (!) Unusual Historicals landing in April (OK, two latecomers from March). Everything from medievals to late Victorians, light and fun to dark and angsty https://wendythesuperlibrarian.blogspot.com/2026/04/april-showers-unusual-historicals-for.html #RomBkBlog @bookstodon@toot.community
It's #TBRChallenge Day and this month's theme is Fool's Errand. Y'all, I read a Thea Devine book. More seedy sex scenes than I could count, a magical thinking heroine and total soapy trash. In other words, I ain't mad https://wendythesuperlibrarian.blogspot.com/2026/04/tbrchallenge-2026-sex-lies-secret-lives.html #RomBkBlog

@wil I went digging into this some more and found this on an older reddit thread "Unable to comment on Blogger is often caused by browser privacy settings blocking third-party cookies or tracker protections. To fix this, enable third-party cookies in your browser settings, or use Incognito/Private mode." @azteclady
New review up over at the Bat Cave. I read and enjoyed The Harvey Girl by Dana Stabenow. Historical mystery set in Gilded Age New Mexico Territory. Train robberies! Lady Pinkerton Agent Going Undercover as a Harvey Girl! https://wendythesuperlibrarian.blogspot.com/2026/04/library-loot-review-harvey-girl.html

@azteclady @wil For some reason I had comments limited to Google accounts? I changed that to anyone, including anonymous. I also now have the comments box embedded at the bottom of the post instead of as a pop-up window. That displays the note about comment moderation. Hopefully this all helps? But it could just be Google sucking....

@azteclady @wil None of that would surprise me. Google has done nothing to update the platform in a dog's age and I'm expecting them to kill it entirely, eventually - either on purpose or slowly through neglect. I'm trying not to think about it because ugh, 23 years worth of archives over there. And I really don't want to pay for hosting etc.
