Anyone know what this lil sub-shrub might be? It's a vigorous lil guy, about 6-10" high x maybe a foot currently, and tends to spread. The leaves are maybe 1-1.5" long. It's evergreen in 8B. It was here when we moved in, and I subsequently found it once on some non-obvious plant site and DIDN'T THINK TO WRITE DOWN what is was 🤦♀️

I was shipped a bunch of mismarked mystery seeds last year. Anyone know what this is? Hopefully nothing invasive 🤞#Gardening #Plants #Flowers

Huh. Statistically, it seems very, very, very unlikely that someone that lackadaisical with regard to protecting themselves has avoided it.
As of last year, so presumably the quoted % has ticked up: "An estimated 94% of people in the U.S. have been infected with the COVID-19 virus at least once, according to according to a new paper from researchers at Harvard’s School of Public Health."
https://www.pennlive.com/coronavirus/2022/11/dodged-covid-infection-so-far-you-are-part-of-a-small-minority-study.html
And as we all know, even mild and asymptomatic cases can lead Post COVID-19 Syndrome, AKA #LongCovidhttps://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8620929/#:~:text=PCS%20developed%20among%2030%E2%80%9360,system%20damage%20were%20also%20reported
I can't fathom why people would gamble with their intellectual capacity, physical health & thus quality of life. The "finding out" phase is not gonna be pretty for a whole lot of people 🙁
@SallyStrange@eldritch.cafe Hee hee. This post makes up for daylight saving. Ok, almost, but! 😅

The "vaxed and relaxed" set boggles tf out of me.
Hard to fathom not wanting to protect ones' own intellectual and physical capacity...at minimum, one would hope ppl would want to protect others' as well...
The brain damage potential is just fkn yikes... I mean whose life wouldn't be worsened considerably if they couldn't think as well as they could before?!
One INFECTION out of 10... not only one PERSON out of ten...
I wonder who people think is going to care for them once they can't function professionally (or in other capacities) anymore? Do they have someone like that? And if they do, has that person been careful to not get re-re-re-infected too, so they CAN care for another?
@USelaine@mastodon.online OMG, thank you so much! If it's not this exact one, it's def related. YAY!!!
@lionelb@expressional.social Hooray hooray! A much happier accident than I thought it might turn out to be! Thank you!
@micchiato@mastodon.social YEP. I will *NEVER* forget it was on #Democrats' watch we not only didn't make womens' bodily autonomy the permanent law of the land, but LOST #Roe.
And the barrage of fundraising begs that came out instantly afterward.
@terraboops@girlcock.club Hopefully not bc some pushy ass past (hopefully not current) partner leaned on em a bunch about it and vanilla-shamed em!!
@andymoose@mastodon.social Both, and zip out the back. Dig in, Drac
@SallyStrange@eldritch.cafe what was it?
@darisan@openbiblio.social And thank you! Glad U asked before I pulled any more, lol. I put that mismarked seed EVERYWHERE, and have been subsequently fretting it was gonna be something awful!
@darisan@openbiblio.social Oh my gosh, that would be wonderful! I've been worried it was some sort of noxious weed, and it def doesn't look like the Chrysanthemum Coccineum I thought I was spreading around!
@rchusid@med-mastodon.com 🎯 Yep. I SURE DO.
@GoldenRetrieverGF@blahaj.zone Neat! Good job, Goldens :)
And in case anyone would like another bird data point, here's a link to a blog post I read (among zillions of others on their site) when I was studying up on getting and caring for ducks - pretty interesting stuff! And duck squabbling aside, the former female turfing out the drake there thanks to their size difference quacked me up a bit, ngl 😸

As an aside, my 3 female ducks also all mate with each other, extremely frequently & enthusiastically, haha!
@enron@tilde.zone attach an interestingly designed pop-up page maybe?
