I’m still conflicted on what to call users of the #forkiverse but I’m pretty sure this message shows up on a tineline

Happy Tuesday everyone! May the forks be with you! #forkiverse

I just finished reading Dario Amodei’s latest essay, and section four is named Player Piano - possibly after the Vonnegut novel? I haven’t read it in literally forever, but I think that might be going back on the ol’ reading list.

@david_kehm@theforkiverse.com I love imagining the #forkiverse as the Portland of the internet 😂

@effariwhy@theforkiverse.com @GentlemanTech@cyberplace.social Claude does use up its free tokens very quickly, but you can go to your settings and “personal preferences” to tell Claude to be more direct and not spend as much effort on text.

For example, here’s some text that I use:
**Communication style:**
- Be direct and honest
- if you don't know something, say so clearly
- Offer creative solutions and approaches, but distinguish between what's certain and what's speculative

(h/t to @kevin@theforkiverse.com for sharing his custom prompt!)

I just added a new vibe coded project to my site - a daily election-themed puzzle game. Check it out!

@david_kehm@theforkiverse.com I absolutely loved the Jad and Robert days - such a perfect duo and amazing storytellers. I am still an avid fan and listener, and I’ve actually found a lot of that old magic in Lulu Miller’s Terrestrials (formerly RadioLab for Kids). I love listening to it with my son, and I often get just as sucked into the stories as he does
