@molly0xfff Molly, a friendly invitation for you, and other fans of #hummingbirds, to join, or just monitor, crowdsourced nature observation platform #iNaturalist for seasonal #hummingbird observations nearby - or globally https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/5562-Trochilidae There are mobile apps for both Android and iOS; website, of course, has more features with deeper analysis #trochilidae

@IsaacOstlund@mastodon.world "Carmichael introduced himself to the Southwest flight crew, who gave him seat 1A and went above and beyond for Carmichael that day, from the Captain helping clean his window, to performing a series of five 180-degree turns while under the moon’s shadow ensuring that he would get the shots he desired."😲👍 https://joncarmichael.com/collection/108 Think what you will of Southwest, but this was one super-understanding, accommodating crew. (Hope no one got in trouble from corporate.)

@Sheril Eunice Foote Wikipedia article is rather lengthy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eunice_Newton_Foote Especially on International Day of Women and Girls in Science, I encourage regular folks to consider contributing content to Wikipedia articles, maybe even start a new one for a notable but overlooked woman in science. For future reference, this site has info about Wikipedia edit-a-thons https://500womenscientists.org/wikipedia-editathon Happy #IDoWaGiS! ✌️

@Strandjunker@mstdn.social But the Democrats didn't reinstate the assault weapons ban.😕😡 Did they try to undo PLCAA? Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) is a U.S law, passed in 2005, that protects firearms manufacturers and dealers from being held liable when crimes have been committed with their products. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protection_of_Lawful_Commerce_in_Arms_Act
