One of the barcades near me has #pinball machines that all look and play brand new - even the ones from the 90s. I can't imagine how much work they put into them. It always blows my mind.

Generic data wrangler who is suspiciously anti social media. Pro coffee ☕. Plays lots of pinball. Wears analog watches. Found a really cool rock once.
Arg, I really need to buy a UPS for my server - I lose power somewhat regularly and I'm tired of it immediately turning off.

One of my favorite games! Discovered it on location tucked in a corner and no one was playing it. Hidden gem.

The image that "do not continuously slap the flippers" brings to mind is hilarious.
After a lot of tears I have a Pi up and running with a Mastodon instance. I offloaded everything except the webserver to my NAS and I'm trying out a high endurance SD card just in case. Once everything is actually working 100% and I'm convinced it's stable I may consider migrating my account. Thanks for the inspiration @mrcippy@mrcippy.xyz !
I haven't worn my Vostok in a while because I was having accuracy issues, but I notice now that it's perfectly fine as long as it's fully wound first and I wear it the whole day. When the wind goes down overnight it loses accuracy, even if there's plenty in the power reserve... First watch I've had like that. It does have a lot of charm though. #watches

I often wonder if I could make money naming watch brands for Chinese manufacturers. 😂

Ah, good thinking I'll need to test that... Used to have a bootable USB for it somewhere...

You got me curious so I started poking in the BIOS. My mobo error was flashing 10 which is indicating a generic RAM error. Sadly nothing I've tried works so it may just be a buggy mobo. I'd try flashing it but I may kill it. It's new RAM so it's definitely not the RAM since it's always done this.

Just normal PC hardware turned into a server. Boot options in the bios are pretty limited so I'm having a hard time figuring out if it's a weird bios option.
I have a server that gets into a boot loop (but prior to getting past POST it seems) whenever I lose power. Drives me insane. It could be the PSU, but undetermined. I would hate going through the headache of replacing but I might have to. No issues with anything else until a sudden power loss. 😢

I used to eat the dark chocolate ones all the time, but I think I gorged myself too much on them over the years - I can't eat them anymore...

Arg, postgresql and redis up and running on TrueNAS in docker... Mastodon is being special. I'm thinking I'll try running the web server on the Pi and keep the rest on the NAS... Very close to getting it working in docker but the environment is a bit restrictive and I'm not used to it. Let's see what happens! 🖥️

Ah, I honestly would have stayed if it wasn't for the plugins or VM issues. It was working fine otherwise.
@apzpins@mstdn.games
Yep I did! I was on Core 13. Plugins are pretty much dead and my NextCloud was officially unable to upgrade or reinstall so I was forced. Plugins don't move so I just had to upgrade and install the apps after. The upgrade itself took about 10min and I didn't lose anything. I only have a single mirror RAID pool. I upgraded the RAM because I was pretty maxed with 16, and couldn't do any VMs.
