@RamenCatholic@mindly.social But the FroGurt is free, right?
Yes, but it's cursed.
That's bad!
But it comes with free sprinkles.
That's good!
The sprinkles contain potassium benzoate.

mastodon 4.7.2Mastodon, eh?
Middle-aged, cis-het white guy; my experience has been that the more we amplify the voices of those who don't fall neatly into those categories, the better. So that's what I try to do.
FYI: if I see you scolding someone for mastodonning wrong (i.e., "We don't do threads on Mastodon!" "You need to tag your b/w photos as colorless!" "This discussion of racism needs to be hidden behind a content warning!") I will block you.

@WhidbeyWXGuy@mastodon.social Always glad to follow a new source for PNW weather!
FYI, if it hasn't been mentioned to you yet: a great source for info about how to get the most out of your experience is @FediTips@social.growyourown.services
They share lists of accounts to follow for particular interests, tips on using Mastodon & other Fediverse platforms, and are quick to answer folks' questions as they arise

@mmasnick I don't doubt it! Not for a second! I'm certain, however, that I don't need to explain to you the difference between "having a good plan," and "executing a plan well," and "having a good plan, and then executing that good plan, well"

@mmasnick Great write-up! I guess the one quibble I have is that I'm probably going to be more skeptical of BlueSky until we see exactly how the mechanics of blocking, federation, and defederation work in practice.
The devil, after all, is in the details...
