Fake references. While peer-reviewing an academic paper, I checked the reference list and found that around 80% of the cited sources simply do not exist. It seems highly likely that they were fabricated by GenAI. This isn't a mistake. It's academic misconduct. Brazen, lazy, and profoundly unethical. This is an abuse of the peer-review process and a waste of reviewers' time. #NoGenAI #FakeReferences #Spookreferenties

It’s a small harvest because I really want to leave the chillies on the plants for as long as possible and only pick the ones that are truly ripe.

Sometimes I just need to take my mind off things. And what better way to do that than making chilli sauce with a dear friend? 🌶️
A little cooking and a lot of chilli later… somehow things feel a bit lighter.

A year ago, I tried to walk this mountain lake trail but couldn’t finish due to LongCOVID. Last weekend, with a dear friend, I finally completed the whole route. 🥾🏔️
So happy, and very grateful to my wonderfully patient friend for organising everything, including plenty of breaks at beautiful spots, good food and enough water. ❤️

Afgelopen weekend was ik op bezoek bij twee oudere, oer-Brabantse mensen. En ja hoor: hop, drie zoenen bij binnenkomst. 😘
Ik schrok me kapot. 😂
Was ik dat helemaal niet meer gewend. Sinds corona is dit ritueel blijkbaar volledig uit mijn systeem verdwenen.

@cookingroffa@chaos.social Sporten en LongCovid gaat moeilijk samen. In het begin twee keer per week gesport op advies en onder toezicht van fysiotherapeuten. Dat ging uiteraard extreem mis. Daarna lang niets gedaan en pas maanden later heel voorzichtig begonnen met eenvoudige oefeningen thuis. Toen dat goed liep, ging ik 30min per dag heel rustig naar buiten en dat dan voorzichtig vervangen door 30min fietsen met de ebike. Inmiddels ben ik 3jaar verder en nog steeds aan het opbouwen. @longcovid@fedigroups.social #LongCovid

Zaagjes, nonnetjes en strandgapers…
Tot gisteren had ik er nog nooit van gehoord – en nu spotte ik ze gewoon zelf! Naast kokkels en Amerikaanse zwaardschedes vond ik deze schelpen tijdens de Schelpenteldag op Schiermonnikoog.

Wat een leuke én verrassende ervaring!
Samen met veel andere vrijwilligers hielpen we mee aan een mooi stukje citizen science: het tellen van schelpen langs de Noordzee.

@rwaschbaer Oh red bonnet wie schön. Und in die Gänge kommen sie bestimmt. Es sind ja sehr dankbare Pflanzen was Licht und Wärme betrifft. Hier im Ort teile ich mir ein Gewächshaus mit ein paar Leuten und sobald die Pflänzchen groß genug sind, ziehen sie dort hin um und dann werden sie erst richtig eskalieren :)

@jellyfish @bookstodon GN übersetzen stelle ich mir echt schwierig vor. Ich hatte mich mal versucht in Übersetzungen, aber nach ein paar Monaten eingesehen, dass das nichts für mich ist. Ich finde es echt bewundernswert, wenn Leute Romane, Gedichte oder eben GN gut übersetzten können. Ich habe mir sagen lassen, dass die Frau, die Asterix und Obelix vom Französischen ins Deutsche übersetzt hat, brilliant übersetzt. @Frieke72 Ik heb dit vorig jaar als verjaardagscadeau gekregen en bewust een weekend buiten het hoogseizoen gekozen, zodat de kosten wat lager blijven (ook betaal ik het niet zelf). Zie hier ook mensen met honden, dus volgens mij zijn daar zeker mogelijkheden voor. Ik duim voor je dat je binnenkort weer kunt gaan.

Hatte Fun Home auf Englisch und Deutsch gelesen und mich hatte es ziemlich angestrengt, dass ich bei der Übersetzung immer dachte wie das auf Englisch heißt. Ist ein blöder Tick von mir :(
