Weekend project idea: Mixtape.
A web app for making someone a mixtape the old way. You pick every song yourself; no suggestions. Each side has a hard time limit. It goes to one person only, with a short note on the inlay card.
The person you give it to knows it's from you and sees the song that's playing, but not the tracklist. No skipping; they listen in the order you made it.
Retro tape deck UI, obviously.
Would you use this? Who would you make one for?
Why does a oven and a microwave even need a clock? And why does it have to be so bloody difficult to change twice a year without accidentally starting a hour long timer where the oven doesn't work?
Overheard in the break room: A women telling her colleagues about her taxidermied cat that is currently vacuumed packed in her freezer.
"I opened the freezer up the other day and thought, I really must do something about that cat".
Side note, I was sitting here thinking 'today would be a good day for a swim in the harbour'. Then I looked at the water temp - 11.5 degrees. Maybe I'll wait a few more weeks.
There is one person who is constantly disagreeing with the @CanYouBeat assessment. Today is a lovely day, buts its barely more than 11 degrees out there, forecast to hit a high of 12.6. That would be borderline in winter, but spring - come on. We need some level of standards right here.
