I'm Ed and I love movies so I made this alt to drone on about them. Main - @WoozleWuzzle@godfosaken.website
I'll watch pretty much any kind of thing and don't have especially discerning taste!
He/Him
Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma is a masterpiece. 10/10. an astonishing film about queer identity. about horror cinema. and about constructing valuable things from the wreck that is late-stage capitalism. all while looking stunning and creating some sequences that are unlike anything I've seen before
impressed by Leviticus! not perfect but really tense and well produced. up there with the year's best horror for sure
Coyote vs ACME is great fun!! god, the Looney Tunes fricking rule and between this and The Day the Earth Blew Up I hope we get a renaissance era of films. also, so glad this was saved and no with the anti-corporate message, no surprise it was picked for tax write-off 🤨
about to see the 4K restoration of Hard Boiled on the big screen 😍😍
more silent cinema on the big screen for me tonight! watching this https://boxd.it/Cce first Anna May Wong film I've seen
got a ticket to IMAX Pacific Rim with Del Toro doing an in-person Q&A 🙌
going to see Singin' in the Rain for the first time!! best screen in town too. I am in dire need of cheering up so 🤞🤞🤞
went to an Akira anniversary screening. had seen it 15-20 years ago but honestly did not remember it at all. what a fricking movie!! stunning visuals and a monster of a story. 10/10
gonna watch the bone temple later. ready to shout "it's boning time!" as the opening credits roll
just saw Speed Racer on the big screen, from a film print 😍😍😍
oh my god the BFI is doing a trash cinema season in April!!
watching the South Park movie because, unfortunately, we must concede that it's one of the finest musicals ever written
omg there's a trailer for the new Boots Riley!! https://youtu.be/_6v06LnT934?si=1xEbbdJHRFYXZw8L
just saw Raging Bull on the big screen off a new 35mm print. what a picture!
ooh, Evil Dead Burn trailer is actually kinda great! though feels like it spoils an extremely good moment 😩
finally got around to watching Good Boy, the dog perspective horror. not overly enamoured with it tbh. the concept works great it's just that all the other horror elements have no imagination. there are a couple of nice scares but that's it. it's fine overall but almost outstays its welcome at 70-something minutes. would've been better as a VHS segment to be totally honest
Primate is very fun! could've been better - the thankfully minimal buildup stuff is boring and I wish they'd turn the light on at least once or twice - but practical effects rule and it's genuinely thrilling and tense! a little funny at times but actually less than you'd think, which ends up working well. horror films forever 🙌
at the BFI for Inland Empire on their finest screen. never seen it. waiting to go in and let me tell you, this is a big, big night for the middle aged film blokes. they're out in force 🫡
seeing the UK premiere of the international cut of The Grandmaster tonight! 🙌
this is the 15th movie I've seen this year but the 14th at the cinema lmao. really need to get back into watching things on the TV 😩
just saw this at Flare, the BFI's queer film festival https://boxd.it/UWyG looooooved it! so funny, beautiful looking and the lead is stunningly iconic from start to finish
plans got cancelled so went to go see, 100 Nights of Hero because it was on and the trailer is great. loved it!! I think it's going to grate on some people but I'm a big fan tbh. something different, delightful, and small but not too small for the fantasy genre!
oh my god. trailer just dropped for 2026's most important piece of cinema https://youtu.be/b76pK6uYQfA?si=5M_Xu-bMbE9X0fQ1
heading out to catch The Drama in a bit. first time in aaaaages seeing something new at the regular shmegular cinema
have come to watch The Housemaid since I hadn't realised it was Paul Feig and it sounds very fun!
seeing Theorem tonight. cinema screening, though I have no idea what to expect and I'm very sweaty and tired...
