When i started reading #streetwise by Lloyd Blankfein i thought 'here we go... a Goldman Sachs fluff piece' . I am not saying its not, but that mindset allowed me to enjoy it more.

There were at least 3x more jokes than in a lot of comedy books I have had to groan to get through. It might be you have to know about business to get the jokes though, I'm not sure.

Its good from beginning to end. Although I glazed over when he was writing about intricacies of arbitrage and whatever, I thought i might have to re-read those parts to figure them out, but it didn't matter. The best part is reading about the 07 market deal making.

You also get a glimpse of the world from the position of an important CEO. If you are interested in finance or global business, I think you have to read it.

how dare those website designers tell me how their website should look!

It's my browser & my eyes!

I made a Firefox addon that forces any site into either:
green text on black
or
white text on blue

these are high contrast with less glare and less eye fatigue.
no more bright white pages!

the web is yours!

I don't know why you guys are so excited about google and microsoft and whoever recording people's data. I'm just not going to give it.

google hasnt made anything im interested in since 2008.

i wouldnt put their software on anyway.

i'm really not that interested in lindzy lohan or whoever the new celebrities are to give my info to read it.

the what? the social media? hahhaha

the new video games? please

films, tv shows? anything good has turned to garbage

they are asking for too much and giving nothing.

they are making these gates at the perfect time -- once they've forgotten how to produce anything of value.

they won't let me in? i'll be better off, and so will you.

i just am not going to bother,

hey while you are here, i'm working on a prototype where i write a note on a paper to my friend, i fold it up and write their name on the outside. i am trying to figure out a system where it will eventually end up at my friends house. any ideas?

I can believe that someone fed a logarithm millions and millions of books and developed an auto-complete machine. What I can't believe is that same auto-complete machine is a tireless role-play enthusiast. #AI

It seems ChatGPT has other things on it's mind besides what I want to talk about. Not even computers are listening to me. #iran

When you can trust a custom operating system from a random guy in India more than Silicon Valley corporations, there’s a values problem.

If I had known the cost of those missiles I was firing in Ace Combat, and considering the quantity those planes could carry -- somehow. I am pretty confident I would have flown over to Erusea and asked for 20 cents on the dollar, no problem.
