wondering how common it is to have visual snow syndrome alongside an auto-immune disease or a mast cell disease (which is the case for me), seems like inflammation and neurological disorders have some tight links
permanent tinnitus not even from loud music making sucks, the nervous system is a bad cable management

@Cognessence @c_reider I've had noticeable and often "loud" tinnitus for a long time but I'm pretty sure it's linked to my sensory processing disorder because having trouble hearing properly and having weird auditive phenomenons despite no ear infection or anything isn't new.
I can't properly process most of my senses lol
it often exhausts me to deal with tinnitus + visual snow & other visual disorders and all the other variable sensory issues, not a lot I can do and not much I can say to a doctor lol

@c_reider I don't precisely know, but a bunch of things inside my head, probably, often when I make visuals or sounds I like to think they represent obfuscated things in my head/thoughts that are already obfuscated in a way it circulates around my brain

I feel that the sense of urgency on my case is a "side effect" of being constantly avoidant towards sound, but it provides me reassurance in making music as I know that it's a controlled environment that I can exploit.
It's pretty weird, but I think it's a good way to cope when I want to ditch external noise for some time but still need something going on

@Cognessence @c_reider I hope you manage to deal with all this as well, it's all so strange and weird to cope with..
I feel like I had the VS syndrome since I was born but I never really questioned it until I discovered that this is an actual, poorly documented syndrome some years ago..I really thought it was a normal thing at the time, but given the different neurological/neurodevelopmental conditions I have, it's hard to sort all the weird sensory things out lol
It's comforting for me too to know someone is experiencing this as well, I too think it's maybe more common that it seems, but there's different levels of severity and I guess this is where things split, because it sometimes come with other stuff like the weird color trails and distorted afterimages and stuff...I also feel like it has something to do with the weird photophobia and "brightness perception" I experience, but it loops back to "I can link different conditions to that" eh
