@afreytes@mastodon.gamedev.place 🇳🇴 what about hvitevarer (white products) for specific (often white) electric appliances like fridge, washer, stove.. or dagligvarer (daily products) for products you buy often, including food but also toothpaste, cling wrap etc

@WestLawns@mastodon.social i would be curious where you are going with this. I have a Dyson. Don't love it but can't avoid it. Based outside of UK, so have no relation to pub in questions. Do remember Brexit. So with that, this is my vote for Other, please elaborate

@emilymbender I agree with these statements, but given the implication you describe, I tried to assess the layers of quoted posts, reading all commentary in all the layers. I expected clear and straight forward breaches in support of this post. In a setting where you are the prof and the expert, it is advised to paraphrase your words to help their own understanding. The pattern you call out here, I did not see. If this was an academic setting, do you think you would have assessed this different?

@emilymbender yes, that's why I am asking because I'm obviously missing something and I'm wondering where I am lost. And I wonder if the interaction that I have insight into had happened somewhere else, for instance in an academia setting, if you would have experienced it differently. Quick written comments, as directed in this format, often misses nuances on intension of the communicator and I often find myself forced to recognize that ill intent is just as often how I read it not was is stated

@emilymbender thank you for your response. Indeed, I didn't consider information would have been lost. When you linked to a post that I thought would be the source for your comment I went to that source. Myself and all should try to improve and continue to be respectful online and in the world, and it was from this angle I tried to understand your experience. Thank you for your understanding

@NanoRaptor I'm getting worried. Why is it "that time again"? I feel like it's been that time for months... What has changed?
