@jhpot one thing I didn't see there, that I would suggest because you talk about being able to follow people, is NOT setting an account to approve followers. I can't even imagine the amount of extra work it takes someone like you to sift through them all, but it also prevents your posts showing up in a feed until you approve the follow - yet your posts are still visible (if publicly posted) when one visits your profile page. @kathygriffin@mstdn.social Twice that I know of. The first time was at the very beginning, thought I was going to die. The second was after having three vaccinations, with zero symptoms (thank gawd).

@jhpot it's a beast for sure! On that note, just curious why you'd want to set your account to approve followers? I can see it if you wanted to post only to your followers only more often than not, but for post discovery and general post reach, it seems inhibiting.

@guilevi@dragonscave.space I've never written as many image descriptions as I have in the past week since I joined Mastodon. Glad to know and hear they really do make a difference! I'm sure mine aren't perfect, but really trying with them.

@jhpot and I know it's minor in the grand scheme of things but I like to add people to lists when I follow them, if I have to wait for approval, I don't see anywhere that I get a notification of said approval so I can go back and add them later. Maybe that functionality will come in due time...
