On our way back to Kilpisjärvi on the second last day of our ski tour to Pältsan. Still around 10 km to go to our final wilderness hut, and still unaware that it was only meant for day tours.

European Oystercatcher taking a break from, well, I guess, catching oysters😅 Though in Finland there are no oysters anyway. I wonder what it eats here 🤔 I really like these birds with their goofy long orange beak and whistling calls.
