I'm cautiously optimistic for G6. It looks interesting and like it's being made by passionate people! The only thing that worries me a bit is the 9 minute episode length but if Wild Manes could do something pretty decent with that then why not My Little Pony?
I started writing notes for a review of Stalker (1979). I think this is going to be a tough thing to do not only because of how much I like this movie and want to do it justice but also because it's generally a tough film to describe with much of it's appeal being the headspace it gets you in.

I wanted to have a style for making silly litle sketches, something almost Aardman-esque. I think I might be cooking here
Being artist is weird. I believe a sketch to be finished but then I come back to it the next day and find a bunch of stuff that needs changing.
I should probably have a buffer time between sketching and inking more often, even if it means having multiple pieces in progress at once.

@brambleshadow4@equestria.social unfortunately there's a long list of people reinventing the wheel and gaining more users than an arguably better existing standard for a while now, the example that comes to mind first for me is Bluesky.
Mastodon just doesn't have the financial backing to push widespread adoption I suppose.

@ptrc@social.treehouse.systems I'm not surprised, unfortunately the company that makes them essentially went bust and because of the fringe hardware and circumstances with developers it hasn't been possible for anyone to install any software newer than Android 9 or an old version of Ubuntu Touch.
Still, it's a really fun device for what it can do and Android 9 isn't as outdated as you might believe.

A lot is being said about the decision to exclude Rarity and Apple Jack from G6 at the start. Personally I think it's pretty smart since each episode is only 9 minutes long; introducing everyone at once would lead to a lot of overwhelm.

I wouldn't really want to run full desktop Linux on my phone for a number of reasons.

Clip Studio Paint seems like an immensely promising program that seems to have the line straightening features lacking from Krita, it even works in Wine on Linux.
