@vitalis@dirtyknight.life How practical a thing is will always be secondary to how cool/cute it is. Katana are absolutely rad, thus they deserve the love. Meanwhile a spear is extremely practical but much harder to make look cool, especially if using in the most practical manner. The good news is this problem was solved with the invention of guns. Most guns that look cool are also fairly practical and useful.

Keine is already a character that can sometimes be hard to find safe images of, but having a few images be related to the recently released Keine's Expanding Class isn't really helping matters.

Regardless, it's Keine's day! The ever hardworking teacher of Gensokyo. A nice lady, she's putting her effort in to ensure the children are educated. Being a were-hakutaku means most of the time she appears simply as a normal human, though from time to time she can appear as her hakutaku form, not much of a threat seeing as the hakutaku is a creature that gives wisdom. Either way she cares deeply about the human village and those within. She also cares extremely deeply about a certain immortal, a human whose senses have been eroded by the sands of time and death. Hopefully she can help said human keep on maintaining her humanity despite that immortal pain.

A lamia or snakegirl is technically closest to a taur class of monstergirl, and the snake part is usually very long. This means that large portions of the tail are actually representing a major part of the snake's body (representing being the operating word, I don't want to discuss biology or trying to apply real anatomy to monstergirls). Anyways this means that getting wrapped around is like being hugged by a second body, not grabbed by some feet. The alternative would mean that we have to consider the entire bottom half of a centaur one large foot, which is just asking for trouble. There's another angle to this though in the human body. So for the part of the human body the tail is replacing, you'd have to consider the entire tail both legs and feet which means that there needs to be a cutoff point for where the feet start. This cutoff point would have to be the last few percent of the tail, not the whole thing. Sure, there's a wider range on where the feet could be with such a large tail, but on average this'd be closer to a leg-lock or being squished by thighs rather than feet. This discussion has been utterly pointless and I'm not sure why I felt the need to jump in.

An oddball has appeared. That girl who always seems to be poor, the one others might tell you to stay away from. Yet, it's hard to ignore her. She's cute and it seems like she would like some food. Best to bring her in and give her something to eat, even if it means a little misfortune to come.

There's no way Yukari would ever put romance handling into the shikigami parts of Ran after all (it wouldn't be entertaining if she did). Without the composure needed to act as a shikigami, she's just going to end up acting rough, probably even aggressive, through all the embarrassment. This is probably considered tsundere.

@Ronnie21093@varishangout.net @metabble7@nicecrew.digital So far my Vintage Story experience has been getting to the very basic safety point of dirt shelter and some extremely basic tools, then getting hit with the sudden realization of just how much needs to be done to survive a single day, let alone the seasonal changes. It’s a lot, and I haven’t really figured out even the basics of how the hell I am going to get a steady supply of food just to avoid dying during sleep. And because of who I am as a person, I refuse to pussy out and use the actual difficulty configuration so I’m not being shoved into deep end and held under. Feels wrong to just turn off a chunk of the game, because at that point I could play a game actually designed with that lesser difficulty in mind (like, for example, modded Minecraft). Don’t think I dislike the game but man it also feels difficult to adapt to, lots of time and deleted failed attempt worlds are going to be needed. Then again, I also struggle with motivation to feel interested in the game on some other fronts, mainly being interested in the mods. Whole lot of mods adding extra complexity or basic tweaks, but very little of anything else. As funny as knowing the Stargate mod has the kino remote is, they’re also kind of less interesting in Vintage Story since they’re only for surface teleportation, no other places to go.

I can figure out the clay stuff no problem. But from there I feel like I'm between a rock and a hard place, nothing is connecting in my mind and basically all I'm doing is looking at the wiki or handbook in-between every single minor thing I do. I definitely could get copper, not exactly some unknowable task, but the motivation to keep going is already draining by that point as I feel like I'm missing 50 other things I should've done first (and I just didn't know about) and they're all piling on creating issues for me (mostly in dying). One of these days I'll probably get it, but so far that hasn't happened. I understand fundamentally what people like at least.

So the answer is maybe, though if she did it would be a slightly dangerous kind of love.

The girls of Gensokyo are a strange bunch, most not really familiar with most romance nor desperately seeking it. Still, romance is romance and when one of the girls finds it, she's sure to want more. Sure, most of em are powerful youkai who can fly and shoot bullets with relatively unreasonable mentalities, but it'll work out regardless. A bit of autism, retardation (as in the cute kind), or both wont stop any youkai, ghost, god, or whatever else from finding love. Once a bond like that is formed with these crazy girls though, they're not giving that up for the world. Most would probably kill before daring let the relationship fall apart or be taken.

At the same time, the reason Pokemon specifically is such a shitfest is because of Pokemon Company's marketing mandate of having bi-yearly releases. These things do not get proper development cycles. Non-pokemon Game Freak games though are always a gamble since it's genuinely just some small side group at the company pushing out whatever. Looking at the credits for the game is actually hilarious because of this. It's at most 5% Game Freak. Not even 50 people from the company. Everything else is outsourcing. Why did they even bother trying to make this game if they couldn't develop it in-house?

A bit of a problem but not really evil. Megumu is ah. Well. She is racist towards humans. Not like a tengu supremacist would ever take a tengu for a husband, she’s absolutely getting with a human. That aside she’s less evil and more the top of the corporate ladder I guess? Her actions were evil but they’re mostly in supplement to the benefit of the Tengu. It’s not like she’s really going to do more evil, but I wouldn’t put it past her. If you want a real evil girl who needs proper correction, Seija. She is outright evil, always wanting to do the worst she can and be hated by all. That’s a girl who needs to be given romance to correct her. Just about the only way you could correct her too, showering her in pure love is not exactly an expected reaction to an amanojaku’s deeds.

I don't really blame the devs for that in this case, I doubt they knew what they were getting into, but it does suck. At the very least once you do have a machine that can run it, it goes pretty well until reaching the overpowered point in a run.

I do get why, at some point it's a bit too far to be called a reference and besides that kedama talking doesn't really make sense. Still wish it stayed just for the fun. Yeah sure, the kedama is experiencing the super mega mecha explosion death after getting hit lightly by Daiyousei, why not. I think some of the suspend dialogue was also cut because some were genuinely just lines ripped from various anime and the likes, word for word.

Yes, that's still $25, but the game isn't exactly asking that price for no reason. It is long and that length is pretty much all meaningful content, no fluff nor grinding here. Bare minimum two playthroughs and a few side stories just to see all that the game has to offer. It also has a demo so you can try the game out before buying. The OST is really good too though I don't know if it's another $25 good, even if I do understand the price point. 13 discs. According to the store page, a total of 234 tracks across all four arcs and all the extra content. A lot of music, arranged by a few people.
