There were some trees submerged in water for years at the lake, but they were blown over in a stretch of windy and freezing weather this past winter. The tree swallows loved to perch there in numbers, but since they have fallen, usually only a couple at a time rest there. The fallen trees and their reflections do make an interesting arrangement, though.

I once read an interview with Tom Waits in which he was asked "What makes a good song?". He said a good song should have places and towns with interesting names. If that's true, I think the towns should have railroad crossings.

Took a ride the seven miles to Bethlehem with the idea of practicing in low light in an urban setting, as it was supposed to be cloudy all morning. It was cloudy all morning, only with rain falling practically the whole time. Never got the camera out from under my rain jacket. Most interesting shots were from inside the car parked along the side of the street through the rain soaked windshield.
