Hi, this is Eidon. I'm a Stravinscat*. I write unconventional music with jazzy and neoclassical elements. I'm here since beloved Niu.Moe (#niumoeforever).

A new piece. Why do I do such things? I don't know, I need to. It flatters me to think that my work is of interest to someone. I hope this little miracle continues, and that I always manage to convey musical ideas that carry with them a bit of the pleasure I feel when I compose them.
As it is more and more the case these days, this piece was born with a simple, linear theme, which I began to distort and layer with its echoes. It's a piece that's perhaps jazzy, perhaps neoclassical, for piano, bass, and percussion.
If you'd like, tell me what you think of it.

This piece for solo piano began as a small exercise in composing in the style of Bach (the kind of work I usually call “Bachian plagiarism” to clarify the Stream of my inspiration). However, as I wrote, the piece took on a life of its own, and in the end, I am quite satisfied with it. What do you think?
The title is a portmanteau of the English "teaser" and the Italian "esercizio". I like to play with words, too.

Hello!
I see this as a musical painting. I created the piano part last month, by following the methods used by Frank Zappa when he was attending the Antelope Valley High School. The double bass part was improvised and recorded in August 2025; it has been added here unedited and in a pure state of xenochrony.
I hope you enjoy the result ^_^

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about a piece of music that’s very important to me: “Tema di Andromeda” by Mario Migliardi (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTj99RgdvS8).
Music as an accompaniment to cinematic action has always fascinated me. It would be wonderful to collaborate with a director.
So here is a short musical fragment that, in my imagination, accompanies a brief scene in a film—something like a sudden moment of tension, a person who is being chased and tries to escape, or hides. I hope you like it.
A Stór (Irish for "my treasure") is a piece for marimba, piano, and fretless bass. It’s inspired by Piazzolla and dedicated to Tiziana.
The bass I used here is a 1960s Höfner 182 that I’ve had since the 90s. It originally belonged to my uncle -- he played it with his band in the late Sixties. He gave it to me, and that's how I started playing. Since then, it’s been modified a bit: a friend from my very first band removed the frets and painted it black, and I recently updated the pickups. Do you like its sound? ^_^

Today I was listening to King Crimson's "Islands". The song moved me very much -- I consider it possibly the most perfect work by KC. After that or, better, when I thought the song was over, I started listening to my "Sundial".
Then something totally unexpected happened: The ghost track on "Islands" started, nearly at the same time. The result was the magic xenochrony that you can listen at

Magic does exist!
I need the sun. That much is clear. It’s about time, too: too much rain, always rain.
As the song goes,
“If the sun don’t come, you get a tan
from standing in the English rain.”
In my case, it’s Belgian rain — but the result is pretty much the same, just soggier.
Still, I got lucky: a musical idea came to me. And today, while I was putting the finishing touches on it, the sun finally showed up. “Here comes the sun,” indeed.
So here’s my little "Sundial": a new piece for piano, darbouka, riq, and a few serendipitous MuseScore bugs along the way. No tan, but at least some fun.
I hope you'll enjoy it!

Good day and an excellent weekend to all of you! Today I have for you a brief track for piano, two double basses, percussion, and Mellotron M400. I called it "Bizzarria", an Italian noun that means "an act of eccentricity, weirdness, oddity, or whim". Hope you like it :-)

The lyrics were never recorded:
"I waste my time at the bus station
I blow my time in a train
And then here I'm within a packed pod
Once again and again within a box
Sitting like cogs, right, mechanical cogs that
need to be placed within a grinder to
produce yet another heavy duty and grander mechanical prison for others who need
To produce what needs to be
Made & packed & sold & mold forever
Again, in a fractal mold."
This videoclip features Marcetta e Precipitato, a piece that is available on my bandcamp via https://eidon.bandcamp.com/track/marcetta-e-precipitato
It's a piece in two parts:
• "𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒂" (quick march), for Violin, two violas, bass clarinet, two marimbas, and percussion.
• "𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒐" (lit. "quickly and without hesitation"), a variation of the "Marcetta" theme for two pianos, contrabass, and percussion.

Hello, this is to share with you my new piece, "Deux petits riens". A neoclassical divertissement for solo piano, presented in two versions — the second one mirroring the first.

Hi!
The theme of my previous piece, Solo un momento, returns in this little neoclassical fugato. I had a lot of fun writing it 😊 I hope you’ll enjoy it too!
Wishing you a wonderful Christmas season,

Xenomachie: A piece in three parts:
- Osaka (大阪)
- Esok (エソック)
- Xenomachìa
Double bass, two pianos, percussion.

The picture I used here is from a photo I took on December 20, 2025, processed with G'MIC (Kaleidoscopic Symmetry), overlapped with https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Emblem_of_Osaka,_Osaka.svg by waketasu1977. (c) Eidon. All rights reserved.
The neologism "xenomachìa" comes from ξένος: (Strange, alien, foreign) and μάχη (battle). "Osaka esoK" is ananym* of "Cose a caso" -- Italian for "things at random".
In this piece I play double bass.

Here's to you another serendipitous, stream-of-conscousness 'bizzarria'. Neoclassical? Jazz? Avant-something? No idea. Just what comes out of my mind.

My life revolves around two places: my hometown in Italy and my home in Belgium. And depending on where I am, the “music room” changes completely.
This track was recorded in Italy — where I have access to my double bass, an old Eko bass, a classical guitar, and a grand piano. Here you can hear my double bass, captured with a humble microphone in my living room… while people wander (and wonder!) around 😄
Other instruments here are marimba, piano, flute, tenor and alto saxes, and percussion.
