Back in 2015~ I used to read a tech magazine published in Italy, and a thing from it has been stuck in my head:

It was a mesh network, but unlike Meshtastic, its main purpose was file sharing (yes, that kind, but also things like guides or recipes)
I think the name was bird-themed?

Anyone remember?

So fun fact! There was this Ace attorney game with furry characters that was released only in Japan in 2003.
Unfortunately apparently due to legal issue and then fandom in general being far smaller back then, it became lost media.

Luckily enough, the furries that downloaded it kept circulating the ISO and it was released in 2021, and a demo was later found thanks to a different furry

An interesting rabbit hole is J2ME games, when companies were trying REALLY hard to get gaming going despite phone chipsets being potatoes

The N-gage was one of the best efforts, but there is a DIFFERENT lineage of "Java feature phones with a 3D GPU", and of course there were all the ones with no hardware acceleration

The Zeebo is such an interesting console, it failed HARD but you can tell they were trying hard to get it going
