@Quasit I made the switch to Vivaldi and LOVE IT. It's a fantastic browser, albeit one not running Firefox's rendering engine. The plus side is that those annoying Chromium-based extensions that never got modified for Firefox now work...
Hang on...is this entire film just an elaborate Jack Chick tract?

@diazona@techhub.social Thanks! A kind bot helped me out. I'm here now, much to everyone's dismay I'm sure.
It is the year 2026. We don't have jetpacks, sadly, but you would think the technology exists now so we can wear our glasses when getting our I.D. photos and not always look like a frightened raccoon in all official documentation.
My pull list of comics for this coming Wednesday. Still catching up after my Free Comic Book Day haul, but I'm always excited for more FF and Batman and Conan. #comics

@greene Hello! Fellow Texan here (albeit in an urban part) and lover of art, SFF, RPGs, gaming, and a professional academic. Happy to make your acquaintance!
Is Imperator: Rome secretly Paradox Interactive's best game? Yes. Yes, it is.
I'm now 38% positive this film inspired Twin Peaks. #monsterdon
Nuns!
Nuns?
NUNS!

My pull list of comics for this coming Wednesday. I was planning on skipping the new Supes/Spidey team-up, but man, the description AND this cover were too compelling to pass up. I'm also looking forward to the second in this new Phantom series; the first mini-series was excellent. #comics
A huge week for comics on my pull list this coming Wednesday! More Thundarr! Elric is back! New Zatana! Lost Swamp Thing re-issued! ROCKETEER!!! #comics
Thank god they're both in towels.

Okay, okay, that was genuinely frightening! #monsterdon
Did they just slap a bed in one of the jail cells from Planet of the Apes? #monsterdon
Does the guy in that costume know it's on fire? #monsterdon
I like how, even in the United States, priests have British accents. #monsterdon
I'm no radiation expert, but shouldn't he have waited to take off the gear before, you know, leaving the room?

"We paid for this synthesizer score and we're going to play the entire thing in this unnecessarily lengthy establishing shot!"

Why oh WHY do I mostly identify with Pritchard? #monsterdon
Worst gender reveal ever.

I guess I should stop overthinking this movie's plot... #monsterdon

"I'm going to step into the alien machine and become a TORNADO!"

How much money did movies in the late 70s and early 80s save on scores done entirely with synthesizers? Dozens of dollars? Hundreds? Enough to have an extra special Craft service? #monsterdon

Yeesh, flirting was WEIRD in the 1950s.

So far, the candle lighting is the best thing about this film. #monsterdon
"Ten standard minutes"...her response is "Oh, I know. That's normal. Don't feel bad." #monsterdon
Why does Christopher Lee look younger in this than in any prior film? Is it because he is actually a vampire? Make-up? Lighting? (That last one is laughable, considering how this movie is lit.)

Vincent Price's narration is giving me "theatrical release of Blade Runner" vibes. #monsterdon
I'm confused: are the nuns actually typhoons? #monsterdon
Anytime I see Vincent Price in anything now, I am reminded of this excellent Simpsons bit:

I have missed the announcement, so what is tonight's #monsterdon and where can I watch the pre-show and the film?
Who wears powder blue to a professional banquet? Seriously?! #monsterdon
Soooo...these aliens motivations are basically "I'm going to take my ball and go home"?

I'm sure this head wound combined with a gun will prove to be no problem whatsoever. #monsterdon
Did I spot Dr. Steve Brule in this trailer? Is he in this?! #monsterdon
I love the implication that NASA hires scientists to essentially give tours. Research be damned! #monsterdon
Whelp, Amazon just killed everything that made their Luna cloud gaming platform great - namely, the ability to play remotely games from third-party libraries like those from GOG. Such a shame, as Luna was IMHO really primed to be the best successor to Google Stadia, but even better with these third-party integrations. The constant drive by companies for Apple-like closed platforms is just...shitty. #Enshittification
"Would you care for a sedative?"
