Haben damals keinen Installateur der Varta verkauft/installiert und in die sonst verkauften Inverter integrieren kann. Sehr, sehr schade. Aber auch nicht das einzige Beispiel. Man schaue Stiebel Eltron an – die hatten es auch schwer und die Politik macht gerade alles, es ihnen weiter schwer zu machen.

@aks@scalie.zone I'm still waiting on my dream job – but otherwise I completely can follow what you are saying. Linux put so much of the fun of using computers back for me. Now being limited to one shell for instance… Having Plasma as my daily driver, but playing with niri on the laptop just refreshes my feelings when using my devices. The Quality has improved so dramatically. Does suspend work on my laptop every time? No… But do a bazillion of cryptically named background tasks completely drain my battery? No! Am I greeted with Ads on login? No! Do I have fun? Yes!

@nina_kali_nina@tech.lgbt @FloppySalmon@dice.camp as in wanting to make a point this might have gotten a grimmer tone, than what reality really reflects – so no worries :D But what you write is the perfect embodiment of what I meant, just for text (and what has been said by @FloppySalmon@dice.camp in extension): putting the effort, rewriting, rethinking – instead of mindlessly letting the slop machine inflate a feeble thought. This puts soul into things – text, drawings, music and likes. This is what I am afraid to loose. Either because it is outright slop, or because ppl that try avoiding burning a planet for a shitty mail text feel so under pressure to follow the trend of „a lot of text fast“ that they also will stop having this soul in their works.

@kuketzblog@social.tchncs.de Die Antworten hierzu sind einfach nur traurig und zermürbend – und ich fühle das total. Habe aufgrund ausreichender Position vor ein paar Jahren meine Arbeitsmittel weitgehend ins Linux verschieben können, während der Rest der Firma 100% Microsoft ist. Ein Wechsel zu einem AG bei dem ich wieder "zurück" müsste schreckt mich sehr sehr ab, dass ich aktuell lieber bleibe, wo ich bin (zum Besseren oder Schlechteren). Bevor ich wechseln konnte im Grunde eine Mischung aus dem, was man hier sonst in den Antworten liest: Akzeptieren, Meckern, Alternativen aufzeigen (die dann ignoriert werden :D), aber eben auf Frust in sich aufbauen. Das Schlimmste daran, und das wurde ja auch schon beleuchtet, wie vollkommen unnachvollziehbar das scheint, wenn man sich die Alternativen mal wirklich anschaut – sogar von Preis und digitaler Soueränität mal abgesehen; Was der moderne Linux Desktop inzwischen zu bieten hat ist phänomenal, besonders in einer Zeit in der Microsoft Windows scheinbar zur Chash Cow umfunktioniert und lieber alles Geld rauspresst, als noch etwas zu investieren.
