Guess what? I got to break in the newly-dyed couch cover! Mom's pretty happy, especially since she hadn't dyed anything since grade 5. #ThumperThursday #RabbitsOfMastodon #HouseRabbit #HouseRabbits

mastodon 4.7.1I was scared, cold, and alone, hiding under a car in winter, when kind humans rescued me. Adopted 5 Oct 24, I look forward to sharing my forever-home adventures!

@Satori@mastodon.thirring.org @ADailyViolet@mastodon.thirring.org 3 am the other night. Thud, gallop, thud, clang, thud. A raccoon on the back porch? In the crawl space? Nope. Picasso practicing his parkour routine. 🙄

@RadicalAnthro@c.im @ADailyViolet@mastodon.thirring.org @Satori@mastodon.thirring.org I'm celebrating Jack with my first-ever grass planter!!! Come join me, plenty for everyone!
Mom's hopping up and down again (nobunny would ever call it a binky). This handsome fellow is back, singing his seductive songs and sipping syrup! #OriolesOfMastodon #Ontario #Spring
Mom's hopping up and down because the hummingbirds are back! Three days earlier than last year. Crummy pic, but it's a cold, windy day. #Hummingbirds #Ontario #RubyThroatedHummingbird
Can't a guy get any privacy around here?

@Satori@mastodon.thirring.org Skye is so refined with her delicately crossed thumpers. Sitara is more like "I'm chilling the way I want to chill!"Love them both😘

@johnefrancis@cosocial.ca Haven't checked the bat box yet, but we have an 80-year-old log boathouse that has housed a colony of little brown bats for decades. Just a couple heads poking out of the rafters last week. Hope the others return soon. They were almost wiped out by white nose syndrome a few years ago, but have bounced back and swabbed negative recently. Fun to watch!

@johnefrancis@cosocial.ca Interesting. I know they feed on insects for protein, so maybe seeds fill that gap? It's cold here (single digits C), nothing blooming yet, no flying insects. Will watch for oriole activity at the seed feeder.
