switched from:
Win11 -> CachyOS with KDE - works like a charm
Google -> Proton ecosystem
Twitter(X)/Reddit -> Mastodon
Google maps -> Here WeGo - super easy to use
Chrome -> Vivaldi - (pretty happy with that)
Gemini -> Le Chat - feels pretty solid
Youtube Music -> Qobuz
only thing im worried about is Youtube itself cause i cant find a good alternative😿

As comrade said, I would check for driver updates especially for your network chipset.
Are you connected via WiFi or by cable?
Check what chipset u have on your mainboard or network card and try to install the latest drivers for it then check your download rate again.
I hope this helps 😸 cause that worked for me I am fairly new to linux\cachyos myself so it would be nice to get feedback if it worked or not.
Hey, so I'm currently checking out #Matrix / #Element as an alternative for #Discord.
Element seems to be a good alternative so far (only tested it a few hours)
There are 2 things that annoy me a tiny bit.
For example watching multiple streams at the same time. You have to switch between them with the arrow keys.
Secondly #CachyOS seems to block audio for one application if I have discord and element open.
Maybe Cachy-users can help me with that one thanks in advance😹

All my games are working fine no problems at all.
As you mentioned it darktide is running smooth af.
NO microstutters like i had playin it under Win11
even got mods working via shell script😹

So I'm currently testing different matrix clients like yours #element , #cinnyapp and #commetchat.
I know that all of these clients use the same matrix protocol and rely on the development of this protocol.
I had my first real session in a voice call via element and was missing some basic audio settings like a noise Gate.

As far as I figured out elemet is a graphical application with the matrix protocol so it uses the open source code from matrix and has access to the servers of matrix similar to Mastodon and fediverse
