@atomicpoet I actually prefer ‘liking’ here to other social media for this exact reason. With Facebook or Instagram, if you like anything, you’re fed things like that thing forever and ever, amen. Here I don’t have to fear an algorithm sending me stuff like an old aunt who can only remember one thing about me. I can just like things.

@joelle@social.joelle.us @claesdevreese@mastodon.social Shouldn’t be any different than migrating to any other server… unless the Post decide to be dicks and ban the account so they can’t get back in to make the transfer. But that’s a potential problem with all instances.

If there were an #OpenSource, #federated alternative to #LinkedIn, it would be called…

“That’s just my opinion.”

Okay… and *my* opinion… is that *your* opinion… makes you an asshole.

In this house, we do not refrigerate chocolate sauce or ketchup. They taste better at room temperature. I don’t care what it says on the bottles.

I will die on this hill (possibly of food poisoning).

‘Outlook Etiquette’
A haiku by Ateriath

If you want to talk
Don’t ask “can we have a call…?”
Just schedule a call

@jcrabapple@dmv.community Have you tried looking here yet?: https://alternativeto.net/software/microsoft-to-do/?license=opensource

AlternativeTo is my favorite place to start when I want to know “how do I do this, but FOSS?”.

@joeinwynnewood@mstdn.social @joelle@social.joelle.us @claesdevreese@mastodon.social This is true. It is also true that some people are short sighted and act against their own self interest in order to hurt those by whom they feel wronged. Many of these people are bosses.

@dimillian@mastodon.social, @IceCubesApp@mastodon.online, I’ve noticed that reply, boost, and star counts don’t sync terribly well across home feed, post details, notification feed, etc. Is this something on your radar? Or is it more trouble than it’s worth? It would be cool if a pull to refresh on one of these refreshed counts on all of them.
