one of the things a surprising amount of people forget when they receive a new (second hand) hardware, is to update the firmware.
the list of updates available on every laptop/desktop I receive is bonkers, and this is an enterprise laptop that have always been managed by corp IT, so you'd think they'd know.
on Linux it's super easy;
just type "sudo fwupdmgr update" and off you go.
You can also run "sudo fwupdmgr get-updates" to see what's there, give it a try!

random fun fact: you can force-restart your AMD GPU drivers if you feel like they're misbehaving by running:
cat /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0000\:09\:00.0/amdgpu_gpu_recover
(replace 0000...etc with the PCI path of your GPU. if you want to find it easily, you can sudo -i first and then tab your way up from /sys/kernel/debug/dri/)

I couldn't get my Zebra printer to print well from the GUI because even with the exact right settings it failed...
...so I created a script and hooked it into the KDE context menu. Figured I'd share it here to show others how easy it is to add things there:
1) Create a script, put it in something like ~/.local/bin/zebra-print
2) Create a desktop file in ~/.local/share/kio/servicemenus/zebra-print.desktop
See file content in image below (since it doesn't fit in 500 characters)
