Bart and Homer incest
Oh my god, this review of "The Odyssey," by Emily Wilson - who has translated Homer's original into English - is BRRRRRRRUTAL. The mere mortal Nolan is BODIED. Wilson, a god on earth, SLAYS.
and so on.
Read it, and have a giggle:

Dwie Odyseje
Na urlopie nie zajmuję się Chinami, ale od czasu do czasu będę wrzucał coś krótkiego „off topic”.
Obejrzałem “The Odyssey” Nolana i spodobała mi się. Gdybym musiał wybierać pewnie wolałbym „The Return” Pasoliniego, ale nie muszę wybierać. Mogą mi się podobać obydwie adaptacje.

On the matter of Greek erasure in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey
Nolan's Odyssey isn't just a movie—it's the latest act in a 200-year-old tradition of appropriating Greek culture while denying that Greeks should have control of their own heritage.

In Greek mythology, Calypso, whose name means "to hide" or "to conceal," is a nymph best known from Homer's (c.750 BCE) epic The Odyssey for falling in love with Odysseus and imprisoning him on her island, Ogygia, for seven years (or five years, depending on the source), during his long voyage home. #History #Odyssey #Odysseus #Homer #GreekMythology #Calypso #HistoryFact https://whe.to/ci/1-24943-en/
Sometimes we get pleasant surprises: Jackson's #LotR was one. Nolan's #Odyssey does not belong in that category. The trailers were appalling in every dimension. Nolan is hugely overrated & in his latest opus we see the standard markers of lazy contempt for the source work & culture. If you want to see a film about the #Odyssey, see The Return (2024) with Ralph Fiennes & Juliette Binoche.
