I had to learn how to do #gnucash .chk files all over again. Because I had forgotten, because I don't do them for a living. This time I put a shipton of comments in. Then perhaps I will remember how to do them next time the occasion compels me. The gnucash docs on the .chk file formats require a major do-over, which I am considering.

@kdkorte@fosstodon.org It's ideal even for 'self-employed' or 'single worker' enterprises. I switched to Linux and FOSS at home while I had an office job using Windows, MS Office, Adobe & Quark. So when my side-hustle became my job I was already familiar with all the software I needed, without spending a single penny. #Linux #LibreOffice #Inkscape #GIMP #Scribus #GnuCash #Firefox #Thunderbird

Hey!!!! Anyone here using #GnuCash with a database backend (MySQL / Postgres)? Can I somehow save the password so I don't have to re-enter it every time? GnuCash uses libdbd, and libdbd completely ignores .pgpass, apparently?
