#euthanasia

Do I have any Dutch followers or people who keep up with Dutch news and healthcare? I’m reading about a 2 year old disabled child who was euthanized but most of the reporting is from American right wing organizations so I don’t want to share or take it at face value. It seems there’s a law that allows parents to request Assisted Death for very sick children ages 1-12 and I would like to confirm that is true and ask what the general consensus is around this? I’m obviously very concerned about the precedent and the slippery slope of euthanizing disabled children… #netherlands #dutch #assisteddying #euthanasia #disability #ableism #eugenics

A 25-year-old woman from Barcelona, Noelia Castillo Ramos, died by legal #Euthanasia at a care facility in Sant Pere de Ribes, after Spanish courts rejected last-minute efforts by her father and a Christian legal group to stop the procedure Multiple reports say Castillo had been paraplegic since a suicide attempt in 2022, lived with constant pain, and had received approval under Spain’s 2021 euthanasia law before the case became the country’s first such dispute to reach the courts https://kite.kagi.com/world/2026032714/spanish-woman-dies-by-euthanasia-after-court-fight?shared=1
