#cognitivescience

I'm a web developer from Ontario, Canada - lifelong Montreal Canadiens fan and avid hockey card collector. Tired of algorithmic rage bait, so I'm looking for a new community. I'm here for lively debates in web dev, cognitive science, AI, hockey and software architecture. I also write about these in my digital garden (link in bio). My handle is from one of many shelved side projects, a hockey card app I plan to resurrect. #introduction #CognitiveScience #AI #Hockey #HockeyCards #WebDev

Hello Fediverse! 👋 Time for my #introduction. I transitioned from a B.Sc. in Molecular Biology to an M.Sc. in Cognitive Science at Ruhr University Bochum. This path has given me a multi-scale perspective on biology and computation. My Master's thesis focuses on neural-autonomic synchrony, classifying emotions in an embodied context using #EEG, #fNIRS, #EDA and #ECG. Long-term, I want to transition deeper into actual #BCI, #HMI, physiological computing, and #consciousnessresearch. 🧠💻 I value open science and ethical, decentralized systems. This philosophy drives my work with Volt Europa (evidence-based policy/open infrastructure) and my support for the Chaos Computer Club (#CCC). I chose neuromatch.social over corporate platforms like LinkedIn to connect with people who care about genuine scientific exchange, not algorithms and self-promotion. Let's connect!
