@sebastian@phpc.social Thank you for the amazing presentation! The conference was attended by PHP programmers and non-PHP hackers from all walks of life, and all my friends were impressed by your dedication.

At #phpcon_odawara , there’s a dedicated "1-minute feedback" slot right after each session for attendees to share their thoughts instantly. Since it's only a minute, speakers receive plenty of raw, genuine reactions while the talk is still fresh in everyone's minds.

I heard a story once about a company that developed using Java and didn't allow the installation of interpreters like Ruby; apparently, Groovy was convenient for scripting there because it only required bringing in a JAR file.

I feel a huge weight has been lifted now that a PR I’ve been working on for years has finally been merged, but my journey certainly doesn't end here. After all, even after exploring various other languages, type systems, and static analyzers, I still love PHPStan.

I’m here this weekend for a two-day event in Japan called "Functional Programming Festival." I’m scheduled to speak tomorrow, and I plan to discuss the connection between untyped lambda calculus and modern programming languages. While higher-order functions like map and reduce are commonplace in modern languages, their expressive power regarding functions naturally varies.
Who do you think is the true champion among the descendants carrying the DNA of the lambda?

I submitted a pull request for the PHP manual article that I personally considered the most incorrect or misleading. https://github.com/php/doc-en/pull/5681

I’ve given the Emacs phpstan.el package a major update after quite some time. I believe I’ve managed to resolve all the accumulated legacy technical debt in one go. https://github.com/emacs-php/phpstan.el

It is truly ideal that a speed boost has been achieved with virtually no trade-offs for the user.

Announcing PHPStan Turbo! Native PHP extension (PHP 8.3+) written in C++ that makes running PHPStan 10-30 % faster.
The best part: If you update to PHPStan 2.2.6, you get it automatically. It ships with pre-built binaries for all the usual combos of OS:architecture:PHP.

This document summarizes the behavior regarding types and PHPDoc across various PHP static analysis tools (including type checkers, type-aware linters, and language servers). While the comparison of type notations is not yet exhaustive, I am currently working on expanding it. https://zonuexe.github.io/php-typing-conformance/
