In the song, Annie was "struck by a smooth criminal". She is definitely not OK if she needs a CPR.
As of the CPR doll. The name of it, Annie, seems to be arbitary. But the face of "Annie" of the doll was from mask of a 19 century dead body of a Jane Doe in Seine (a.k.a. 'Inconnue de la Seine"). So it seems that the real Annie was also "not OK".

It is highly doubtful if US will put boots on Iranian's ground like they did Iraq in the 1990s or 2000s.
It will be much more effective, but it will be ridiculously expensive to do it to be effective. And Taiwan strait crisis is still a thing waiting to explode in near future.

Iran is not a welcoming place for any protest. People wouldn't even dare to show up on street if it weren't for the economic situation.
To be fair, I think the French back in the days have a fair share of influence.

A bad ass description of the song
Has someone ever brought you down? Made you question your worth? When I wrote this song, I was sick of people treating me like some silly woman. I needed a Fight Song - and not a lame one telling me that I'm a good person and to be positive - I'm talking about an I-Am-Woman-Hear-Me-Roar kind of Fight Song. A song I could use to psych myself up, to remind myself that I'm here, I'm strong as hell, and I'm not going anywhere, yo!!

I feel conflicting emotions.
I want #Iran people to have a better life. And I want to believe it is this simple. On the other hand, I understand the world is a much, much more chaotic and complicated place.
As much I dislike #Trump or his attempt to divert media attention for his own good (ahem #EpsteinFiles are still not fully public). As much as I hate the narration that we are "solving" the Iranian regime problem. This might be as best a start we can get.

@lostgen@det.social Kuwait is not a very big country. Also crude oil is not some radioactive or toxic gas.
Again, I am certainly not saying this is good. But I would guess it might still be preferable to most people in Iran than for the regime to keep unscathed.

Physic Girl got a new physics video! She was in long COVID for 5 years. Very happy to see her recovered to a point that she can do it.

It's been days of protests in Iran. An even larger amount of protesting people were somehow threatened to shut up for their life.
I don't care much of Fox or republican or US politics in general. I am not picking a side to support here. I am merely commenting on the situation and the actions.

@lostgen@det.social I don't agree. Iraq burnt the oil field of Kuwait back in the 90s. I believe Kuwait people would still prefer that to what might have happened otherwise.
In a perfect world, Iranian government would just give up and open up for the people. The current situation is not ideal but far from the worst.
Again, no war is good. Some might be necessary.
