It demonstrates that the effect is common, but it was hard to find any standard name for the effect.
I did find this Octothorpe article (https://pampatype.com/blog/octothorpe-concept), which describes it as a "multilinear letter style".
@Benhm3@mastodon.social I see it used in a lot of places. No doubt the Olympics as well. Just not sure if there was an official name
