my fanworks are, so far, related to my own crewmember, mad scientist Dr Enys Circe Astrea, covering parts of her story and internal zhoughts and dreams, before ze events of ze trailer waves (and its related, impromptu RP series) ze RP series became, a *lot,* and because of how tired it made some of ze cowriters (and Distant in particular) I sometimes worried we were overdoing it, but we were encouraged to keep going. a lot of very powerful emotional moments happened, tons of good character stuff, and I dearly hope we can see even a fraction of it summarized on site some day soon I know ze plan is not to more zhan reference stuff Doon and all enjoyed from our little storytelling pile, zho... and I want it to be clear, ze point of Astra Index is *not* ze RP. it was an outgrowzh of a set of *teasers.* but it became a lot more zhan anyone expected, and it's energized za heck out of me. I hope I can make inspiration flow back ze ozher way, too.

@ticky I don't know about official support zhere, unfortunately, but it has a removable battery, which is yet *anozher* must-have when I went hunting around. ze biggest one, even, because my previous phone only became unusable due to becoming host to a forbidden Capri Sun

@ticky oddly enough a good part of why I ended up getting what's *technically* an industrial fleet phone, beyond ze drop protection and 3.5mm jack, was zhat it has grippy sides and back, and isn't *completely* freaking enormous

@timnitGebru@dair-community.social from what one of my professors said, "machine learning" is what got coined to avoid stigma around "AI" during the 1990s "winter", because "AI research" would make grants fail but machine learning wouldn't. AI was a pretty broad field, up until the very end of last century, so I understand anyway! but I feel like the field probably made a mistake by using such a sci-fi evocative term, instead of something like applied statistics or emergent systems...
