mastodon 4.7.3I enjoy figuring out what makes a distributed system tick and piecing them back together when they eventually fail, because they always do.
Given some requirements, I can MacGyver a PoC from even the most limited toolbox.
I currently don't have any focused interests but I keep myself busy and stimulated with a firehose of information.
@tcook@hachyderm.io looked this up awhile back when I was supercharged one day.
They're ArUco markers. I assume it's test store for robotic stocking.
@tcook@hachyderm.io in like 18y you could even convert it to electric if you want to up the fun factor
@tcook@hachyderm.io guess they're available to use now https://www.mercurynews.com/2024/02/23/californias-first-amazon-dash-carts-are-at-whole-foods-in-san-mateo/
@tcook@hachyderm.io they just need one of these many cases to work and it will unempower all the regulation agencies.
@tcook@hachyderm.io interesting. Makes sense if they're going all in on cameras and not RFID/NFC/BLE/etc. I wonder if they're pulling a Tesla and using customers to beta test vision+AI.
@tcook@hachyderm.io my old CyberPower doesn't even like the 60Hz the solar inverter puts out. If I'm off grid at night, it doesn't mind the powerwall inverters at least.
The bigger issue I have is the handling the surge if grid power goes down while solar is generating and the transfer switch flips. I have to reset my HVAC and Range each time so far.
Tech came out to install PGE solar monitor and he found a few loose wire clamps so hopefully that fixes it next time 🤞
