I'm sorry, why is a 9 year old even allowed to post to YouTube? There's a lot of mistakes the Dad made to lead up to this, hard life lesson for him mainly.

You are not supposed to buy phones yearly, think of new models as refreshes for people in the market at that time. Phones are insanely good now and can easily last 5+ years. You don't need to upgrade!

How has Denuvo even managed to convince the AAA market to purchase it's products when they are cracked almost immediately anyway?

That's just false. Most gamers are adults and if we narrow that to just PC, you will find the average age is over 30.

Caught the addiction! OSRS is a sandbox MMORPG, so you slowly build your character and do random activities however and whenever you like. You can come back to it years later and pick up where you left off without missing out. This is in contrast to something like WOW which is often called a themepark MMO, where you make progress quickly, suffer from FOMO and then that progress is wiped when the next big expansion releases.

TeamSpeak had their chance, but they decided to be complacent after getting popular. Now they are playing catchup and very slowly. Discord has given them multiple chances now to take back market share, but TeamSpeak was never ready. This time some other project will take over instead.

Yawn. You sound like the lobbyists. They want ID to control us, to selectively spread more misinformation. Nobody will be able to criticize the government, you will be targeted. The bots promoting fascism are the same ones spreading bullshit like this to push for the fascist non-anonymous internet. It sounds like you shouldnt be using the internet at all.

The entire infrastructure in most countries needs changing unfortunately. We need trains, trams and buses everywhere and less and less reliance on cars.

The idea, but the execution doesn't work. People are inherently emotionally charged, which is fine, but we won't get honest scores from it.

We need two ratings, how objectively good the movie is and how much you enjoyed it. Currently most user reviews are a mix of both and critic reviews are often very biased or financially motivated.

It's not? Power draw and efficiency has always been used as a major negative to a lot of things, it's why we have more power efficient devices now. AI is consuming this power for what exactly? It's entirely pointless, only there to enable a circular economy among mega-corporations. It's also entirely irrelevant if something is a negative to one thing and not another. When talking drawbacks for something, there isn't a list you have to pick from, they are going to be specific to it.

It's a scam, they don't even refund donations if they don't make the target. Why are their operating costs so high? This is such a red-flag, they need to shutdown regardless.

$5. Not that costly at all. They do filter a bit anyway: The longer timeframe also allows us to do some extra validation on the signups to make sure they're real accounts, with only one per household. Not giving away criteria for this is a good thing.

It's the flip side too, some guys turn into creeps around women, thinking they deserve a chance with them. I've also had the same threats as a guy, people in these types of games are just the bottom of the barrel.

The only identifable information you should have to provide is the information you signed up with. I've had a couple sites ask for id, but that wouldnt verify I own the account anymore than just me sending them the email from the same address I used to sign up with. GDPR has a flaw iirc, where it allows this, I guess the UK version isnt any different.

Fascism grows in silence, it should be combatted. If fascism is all people see, it becomes normalised. It wasn't defeated in the past by people doing nothing.

I think their biggest weakness is the vendor lock in. Using a 3rd party password manager is the best solution for most people, so they arent locked to their phone. But they are right in saying none of it is quite ready. I think the article is forgetting, they are password replacements, not account recovery replacements. Realistically, people are just as likely to forget a password, and account recovery proceedures still have to be in place. I dont see the issue there. Passkeys are good they are just being pushed before properly fully developed, but we are slowly getting there.

It's correct. Planned obsolescence was a big problem, but it isnt anymore. Phones have software support for 7 years. I have had my current phone for nearly 4 years and it runs as fast as the day I bought it. I will take it through next year and probably the one after. We kind of peaked with smartphones already. In the last 5 years, there hasnt been many big upgrades that people need. Phones are high quality, high performant, and unless you are playing games on them, they last all day. The Fairphone is great. I'd recommend buying phones outright, if you can afford it, and getting a SIM only contract.
