@soatok@furry.engineer Honestly the sort of cons that should not have something like this is probably on the short list.

@@funbreaker@pleroma.envs.net Joy. To expand on spam being extra annoying on Matrix, I'll add in the admin tooling for it is complete shart as well. No proper OOB management stuff for it. You have either a insanely awkward to use inband management API and a optional python REPL meaning you better know the methods/functions to call to do anything and guess what those are not documented. To even use the in band API stuff you have to manually poke the SQL server first to set that for a user. There is no command to do it for you.

Just had a great idea for if playing a kobold character in DnD. Each time you level up, RP it as molting. And eat it like lizards do. Although in this case pull out like a bottle of hot sauce as flavoring as you nibble your molt off post level up.

I just noticed Shodan.io has a job boards query for the header X-Recruiting... half tempted to drop one on a site that asking if one in MKE is up for getting drinks and seeing what happens.

Published the FW chunk of my fail2ban replacement over the weekend. I so wish I was closer to the rest of it. So much cleanup in regards to docs and various rules.

@soatok@furry.engineer @pq1r@tech.lgbt @christopherkunz@chaos.social The three letters DJB are enough to get any one running and screaming who has worked with Qmail. Does not require svc at all. =^.^=
That said this does have me pondering trolling systemd with a feature request to be able to run /usr/lib/systemd/systemd via svc with svc being pid 1.

@solonovamax@tech.lgbt @soatok@furry.engineer Speaking as some one who has done dev stuff in the open source world for a hell of a long time, mandatory yearly version bumps are a damn good way to burn devs out. As needed tends to be far less stressful(even if it may be multiple times a year, but it at least was for a good reason instead of something asinine such as a schedule).
I really can't emphasis enough how stressed right now the entire open source community is for dev time for various stuff.
Frankly protocol stability tends to be something fairly important do to limited dev time.
Unless manage to get a really portable C library going for it, this is definitely the sort of thing that leads to ecosystem fragmentation.
