On Belonging.
To this day, I always wonder if I exactly belong in any of these spaces. It's weird, since I don't really fit within any definition neatly. I am both too much and too little to be in any group, but I guess with time I have gotten us to live on the margins.
My entire existence is in the borders within groups, never outright outcasted but not quite welcomed either. I usually gravitate around, never understanding why I can't ever get to fit in.
So many seem to do it, and the more time happens the more I see the people I first met finding their place and their niches. Their groups and their loves and so much more. And I am still here, on the sidelines, mostly ignored.
It doesn't bother much, but sometimes I wonder, what I do wrong to never really have any place to be where I am both welcome and expected.
I did some quick data analysis of the artist I follow. After going though more than 60 artist with listed commission prices, and focusing on a single character flat color (or whatever was more similar) the average price is $80 USD.
Of course pricing schemes vary wildly as do style and skills, and it's really hard to compare the subjective value of a given piece. I didn't collect data on followers or time, but I could se the general trend that artists that have been longer on the fandom had higher prices.
If I had time I'd love to do a deeper analysis, sadly a lot of artist have listing on private channels or behind subscription models.

What is that you like?

Sometimes you get exactly what you bargained for.
@Friar@cubhub.social I understand, but this seems like should at least have some more people looking for some other options. But I guess because most big artist are actually locked behind subscriptions and many of the bigger ones don't seem bothered, yet.
I keep seeing people being suspended from bsky, and yet, there is like, zero effort, to try to find alternatives?
I just feel like. Why? why are people so passive about all this. I understand there isn't that many great places, but..
Like yes, artists at least usually have multiple places where they post, but the audience seems to mostly not want to move. Like yeah, it sucks, but artists can thrive without them and I have very little hope for that site to be viable long term. Yet seems really hard to move people from there.

The secret weapons is catgirls.
I just wanted to freehand a tank from memory and do some stuff for myself within all the pending.
@Friar@cubhub.social I always found interesting seeing around like, this is my goal, a few thousand dollar for diapers and they have like 300% progress and the next is a person with like a $20 request that just never get any help.
Sometimes I wish I could make more just to be able to help all the people.
