I watched someone "vibe code" for an hour and now I think "slot machine coding" is a more appropriate name. "Let us pull the lever again and see if the code gets better with this prompt."

Today, I have created a "quality of life" to do list. I wrote down a bunch of things that are not strictly necessary, but will improve my life. Having a list of tasks that I can do to get myself to a better place, hopefully motivates me to do a few of these things. ☺️
I have been very skeptical about people claiming that Dolby Atmos is the future of music and that everyone needs to do their mixes in Atmos now. I mean, when I mix I am anticipating people listening on cheap bluetooth speakers or worse. I am lucky if they are using a decent pair of headphones, and now everybody buys an expensive Atmos system? If you have half an hour, @bennjordan@mastodon.social explores the topic way better than I could. #Musodon #MusicProduction

@hynek@mastodon.social Whenever I read that an "AI" "confessed" or "apologized for" actions it took, I want to tell the person making these statements that they are obviously not qualified to use such a system. 😵💫

@delric@mastodon.social It is not only "DIY Tinkering" but also repairability. I have saved multiples computers in my life by just swapping out a faulty RAM stick. Regarding Apple and repairability, though, I guess that ship has sailed.

@tea If you are just using it to organize information and do not need the chat functionality, maybe take a look at Joplin. It can sync via various online stores. For self-hosting, you could setup your own webdav.
