The TTC Board's next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. in Committee Room 2 at Toronto City Hall. This will be a hybrid meeting, allowing in-person and virtual attendance. The public can register for deputations by April 15 at noon, and the meeting will be live-streamed on the Official TTC YouTube Channel. Details about the Board materials are available online.

The TTC will extend subway service on Line 1 and Line 2 on select nights during FIFA World Cup 2026TM for safe travel home after games. The extended dates include June 17, June 23, June 29, July 5, July 6, and July 11. This initiative aims to accommodate the influx of residents and visitors in downtown Toronto, ensuring that fans can safely attend matches. Additional service will also be provided on streetcar and bus routes, along with increased staff presence.

This weekend, there are no scheduled subway closures. However, for the Under Armour Toronto 10K on April 18, several road closures will affect bus and streetcar routes, including 501 Queen, 503 Kingston Rd, and 504 King. Streetcar service will also be adjusted due to infrastructure work, with diversions affecting 506/306 Carlton and 509 Harbourfront. Customers should check for detailed route changes to avoid disruptions.

The TTC has cancelled the planned subway closure on Line 2 Bloor-Danforth between Keele and St George stations this weekend due to ongoing inspections following hydraulic fluid leaks in work cars. CEO Mandeep S. Lali suspended the work car fleet until safety is assured. Subway services will continue as scheduled. The closure was intended for 5G technology installation, which will be rescheduled before the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Additionally, PRESTO app services will be unavailable for upgrades to

No subway service on Line 2 Bloor-Danforth between Keele and St. George on Apr. 11-12 for signal work; shuttle buses will operate. Dufferin, Lansdowne, and Christie stations closed. Streetcar service will run along King St. W. and changes will affect the 509 and 510 streetcars from Apr. 10-13. Nightly subway service between Broadview and Woodbine will be suspended from Apr. 13-17 for track work. Limited service between Vaughan Metropolitan Centre and Finch West from Apr. 13-16.

Starting April 5, Line 5 Eglinton train service will extend to 1:20 a.m. on Sundays to Fridays, and 12:30 a.m. on Saturdays. Train arrivals will be every four minutes during peak and every six to ten minutes off-peak. Blue Night bus service will run from 1 a.m. until train service begins. Improvements in traffic signals at intersections are underway to enhance transit efficiency. The TTC operates Line 5 in collaboration with Metrolinx and the City of Toronto.

On Good Friday, April 3, the TTC will operate on a holiday schedule starting at 6 a.m. with no service on routes that don’t run on Sundays. Easter events will affect certain routes, including diversions for the St Francis of Assisi Church Procession and Toronto Beaches Easter Parade. From midnight April 3 to 6 a.m. April 6, there will be no subway service between St George and St Andrew stations, with several stations closed during maintenance.

The TTC Strategic Planning Committee will meet on March 31, 2026, in a hybrid format, allowing in-person and virtual attendance. The meeting will start at 9:30 a.m. at the 7th Floor Executive Board Room, 1900 Yonge St., and will be live-streamed. The Committee supports strategic planning as outlined in the TTC's 2024-2028 Corporate Plan, aiming to attract new riders and prioritize transit in Toronto’s future mobility. The Committee meets at least twice a year.

The TTC is adding extra subway service on Line 1 for the Blue Jays home opener and additional bus services for Canada international soccer friendlies. There will be subway closures on Line 2 over the weekend for signal upgrades and early nightly closures on Line 1 for track work. Streetcar services on the 509 Harbourfront will be disrupted until April 9. Shuttle buses will operate during these disruptions, and all stations will remain open for ticket purchases.
