You know all these cheap unbranded LED string lights, led controllers, lamps and bulbs you can buy e.g. on AliExpress that come with generic IR remotes? I've been working on an integration to easily support these in #HomeAssistant with an infrared proxy. The LED Infrared integration will land in the next release. Currently only 2 remotes are supported but I hope to add more. Contributions are welcome ^^

So today I got accused of destroying the #HomeAssistant community because of my contributions to the Home Assistant community? 🤨 But I admire how polite the response is that someone gave. @SsamanMardi ach man, Ssami, Mach doch einfach Alt-Text und lass gut sein. Brichst dir ja echt kein Bein bei ab. Alt-Text gehört im fediverse nun mal zum guten Ton. Wenn du Teil dieser Community sein willst, dann achte auch deren Werte. Wann die Rücksichtnahme auf andere dir egal sind, es gibt immer noch bluesky.

@SsamanMardi ich weiß nicht wie du drauf kommst, aber that is not a thing. Du bist die einzige Person, die ALT-Text zu deinen Bildern hinzufügen kann. Und überhaupt, wie kommst du drauf, dass es ok ist, das anderen aufzubürden?

@SsamanMardi@gruene.social Ssami, es gibt diese Funktion nicht, keine Ahnung wo du das schon wieder herbei halluzinierst. Für die Barrierefreiheit deiner Posts bist du schon selbst verantwortlich. Aber es steht dir natürlich frei, dich bewusst für Ableismus zu entscheiden.

@joshsutphin that's the difference between algorithmic and chronological timeline. The algorithm prioritizes certain posts, which conversely means other posts become less visible. Your followers on bluesky are simply not seeing your posts.

I have a an ESP32 with an IR receiver and flashed with ESPHome. I've configured it to dump IR codes https://esphome.io/guides/setting_up_rmt_devices/
