@_elena@mastodon.social maybe the best thing about the fediverse is that any rando can build a community they don't care about, let it run for a year, gracefully shut it down, and everybody can simply move to another instance. Thank God they didn't decide to see what phpbb was all about. @flpm@sunny.garden @Kristine@wehavecookies.social @rizole@sunny.garden @OKdad@sunny.garden @scichelli@sunny.garden

@flpm@sunny.garden @Kristine@wehavecookies.social @_elena@mastodon.social @OKdad@sunny.garden @scichelli@sunny.garden from the get go I wish they had said ‘well do this for one year’ but they should have actually used it instead of not understanding the little bit of magic they were funding.

@rizole@sunny.garden @flpm@sunny.garden @Kristine@wehavecookies.social @_elena@mastodon.social @OKdad@sunny.garden @scichelli@sunny.garden honestly, for people doing podcasts about tech and tech culture, I find that they really don't understand it beyond surface-level journalism. I still like most of the shows, but they clearly didn't any clue about what they were getting into.
