In fact I never blocked you and I’m not only well aware of the direction the New Zealand leaders are taking but I can add it’s the same direction in most of the western world including Norway.
I could point out that telling homeless persons to vote Green does not change this direction but of course you would know that.

You are approaching him with suggestions that he does things that favour you, or at least things you want him to do. He has received (smallish) gifts from you so from his position he feels obliged to do these things because you ask him to.
There is no such thing as a balance between you two. In reality, you are a missionary while he is a victim.
