Yesterday I visited some friends of mine who celebrated their relationships, in a botanical garden. Family, friends and kids were there, a ceremony took place with speakers and someone in charge to present it all; this had all the hallmarks of a marriage. But since these friends are polyamorous, like I am, it should have a different name. Let's call it a partnership celebration, for now. All the current metamours were there, too; it was a beautiful, meaningful, original and inspiring happening, and I was happy to see so many friends there. #polyamory

On this year's #NLUUG conference, independent security researcher @arjenlentz@mastodon.social presented his meta research on security vulnerabilities (CVE's), with the painful conclusion that it can be predicted that certain IT companies choose shortcuts to "fix" reported security bugs, because they apparently did so before. In other words, similar holes in the same software are usually silently left wide open. A positive exception on this sad rule is Mozilla, which takes more structural learnings out of CVE's.

Het Californische festival #Coachella 2026 wordt weer gratis live gestreamd op YouTube dit hele weekend, zoals elk jaar. Ik ga zo Joost en Katseye checken; elke stage heeft een eigen kanaal op YouTube. De streams kunnen een uur of tien terug in de tijd, en later vandaag komt er een herhaling totdat dag 2 begint.

Overigens wordt Coachella twee keer gehouden, want de VS zijn een groot land: in het weekend hierna gaat de hele mikmak in het echt óók nog eens opnieuw, op een andere locatie, met doorgaans bijna dezelfde line-up.

Nu het inmiddels officieel zomer is, mag wel even luid geroepen worden wat de beste anime was die er deze lente was: Witch Hat Atelier.

Hoe goed dat was? Nou, Harry Potter heeft een betere opvolger, imho. Je kunt erover twisten of ze vergelijkbaar zijn, de manga van WHA loopt ook nog. Seizoen 1 van de anime was: magnifiek.

Het eindigt wel met een cliffhanger, dat moet gezegd. Seizoen 2 is net aangekondigd, maar dat zal nog wel minstens een jaar duren.
