We completed the West Highland Way last night in 4 days. Most people allow 5+ days but I decided we would challenge ourselves to over 20 miles each day, with the reward of a hotel each night.
The plan was:
Day 1: 20 miles
Day 2: 28 miles
Day 3: 25 miles
Day 4: 24 miles
That adds up to more than 96 miles due to walking to the accommodation, in reality it was more than those figures each day.
After some glorious sunshine on day 2, day 4 hit back with wind, rain, sleet and snow. We made it!
