#GoodMorning #coffee from #Gdansk. My Wife made me do it.

My lack of will to go anywhere caused by ADHD has been getting worse and I’ve been a terrible company yesterday.

To make the things even more shitty, CarPlay USB port in the car has lost power and I couldn’t use the soothing force of the map to calm myself.

Fortunately, pulled the fuse and put it back and it did come back…🤡

It’s not going to get better today… It’s now raining and I have no bicycle to pick me up.

@emill1984@101010.pl No ale tutaj to nawet nikt już nie jest zainteresowany sprzedawaniem gawiedzi paliwa, bo ktoś inny to samo paliwo bierze za dużo więcej…😅 Nie można marnować krzemu na kapryśną hołotę, skoro AI wciąga wszystko za wszelką cenę. Myślę, że NVidia ma już głęboko w piczy granie, sprzedają odrzuty z binningu np. jakieś gówna pokroju RTX 5050, 5060 - to są już karty trochę z kategorii „display adapter”. @bobiko@mastodon.com.pl

Nawet używane złomy sprzed 6-8 lat w ciągu ostatniego tygodnia poznikały albo podrożały… Chciałem dołożyć do obecnego Lenovo kolejne i jakiś klaster w Proxmox wyczarować, albo złożyć NAS, ale mam dokładnie takie same dylematy i czekam…

@wariat@mastodon.social Jeden argument do mnie przemawia za dotykowymi klawiaturami - mało się na tym pisze, a fizyczna klawiatura cały czas jest i zajmuje miejsce. Dla mnie to wspaniały kompromis - większy ekran z większą elastycznością, za ciut mniej wygodne pisanie. A co do ekranów to się zgadzam. Rozszerzanie ich było bez sensu. Sam się dałem nabrać na ultrawide, żeby potem uciekać spowrotem na 16:9, a teraz pewnie bym się dał pokroić za 4:3. @podryban@wspanialy.eu @pluszysta@mastodon.online

Well. I have fucked up speaker ribbon cable by mistake. It’s irreparable. I’m not putting my guns down yet. Ordered a different battery (because on the top of that I’ve ordered a wrong one) and a new speaker module. I’m doubling down on it like a real stubborn Polish man!🤦🏻‍♂️🤡 This means I will have to remove 4 tiny (Y000) screws more AND 3 or 4 more tiny ribbon cables…😅 Besides the speaker, at least the rest of the watch works. #AppleWatch

He trashes things quickly, so there was no point in getting a new one just to get it destroyed…😂 Went to a 3rd party shop, they asked €120, I’ve decided I’m gonna do it myself with a battery for €25…😂 What can go wrong?🫣

@ohjames@queer.cool You have to pry on the display to unglue it. That’s the only difficult part. I’m not concerned about putting it back together, because you don’t need to use force on anything. To get the screen off you have to heat it up and cut the glue, which means pushing a sharp blade between the case and a tiny little screen.

It’s funny and sad in the same time, how ridiculous word “affordable” has become - NAS or anything computer-related for that matter…

If I didn’t look at the dates of publications, I’d say those YouTubers really need to touch grass…🤡

I’ve been looking for a cheap home lab storage and it’s crazy. The most affordable option is to go nuclear with cheap, but used SAS (and a lottery) drives and PCI-e HBA controllers…🤡 You’d have to still rob a bank, but it’s not as horrid as “normal” SATA storage…🥹

It's been calling home every minute and displaying shitload of ads, even installing apps on it's own. The image is great, though, and we use it as a dumb display for Apple TV. So, you can get something from them. Just remember to firewall the shit out of it or just don't connect it to the network. As for the monitors... Well, it happens on Windows...😂
