Splatoon Unofficial 🍉

I've just finally watched the trailer for Splatoon Raiders. Won't spoil anything but looks fun, I don't have a Switch 2 though so won't be picking it up at launch and tbh I don't see myself picking up a Switch 2 this year. @splatoon@lemmy.world

By the way, not that newsworthy but Nintendo has adjusted their social media presence too for the Splatoon series with the upcoming release of Raiders.

News / Splatoon Raiders: A variety of biomes to explore

Nintendo has shared the news that the Spirhalite Islands contain a variety of biomes for you to explore. It's said that there's an expansive underground and perhaps even signs of civilisation 👀

@TexJoachim@blabber.rocks fair enough. If there's one specific game that you really want to play then the Switch 2 is good for you. Tbf Switch 2 has quite a few games, I just can't stomach £300-400 right now just to play Mario Kart World, possibly Pokopia since it looks cool and this

News / Splatfest: Results for the SpringFest are in

We have results for the #SpringFest #Splatfest. Apologies about missing some of the posts, I do want to work on templates for these eventually too.

In the Sneak Peek category (90p), #TeamBearCubs lead with 34.39% and #TeamBabyChicks follow in second with 33.13%. Bear Cubs lead continues into the Popularity category (70p) with 37.51%, but this time #TeamLilBunnies grabs second.

For the other 3 categories (Open (120p), Pro (120p) and Tri-Colour (180p), Bear Cubs leads in all of them (which means they have won the Splatfest) with 34.07%, 34.07% and 34.73% respectively. Baby Chicks are in second for these 3 with 33.05%, 33.58% and 32.71%.

This means that Li'l Bunnies barely managed to hop along this Splatfest with 35p, Baby Chicks managed to get a solid score with 255p but Bear Cubs win with 580p!

@jade_ish @halotroop2288 @pretendo I will also add that this event has previously happened before and you always have the possibility to play these map+mode combinations in ranked battle We asked for feedback the last time this happened but if you think that the way we're doing this could be improved, I have the thread from last time pinned on the Pretendo forum and I'm sure I can relay it somehow (yes I'm a part of Pretendo's moderation team)

Apparently this is the last update for now according to Nintendo: https://xcancel.com/SplatoonNA/status/2049111399951962328#m We'll keep our eyes peeled for any updates, but if you spot something that we haven't picked up, please contact us! You can ping this account, ping me in our Discord or Matrix spaces (@experiencersinternational) or you can reach out to me via email (gamersinternationalhelp plus splatoonunofficial at gmail dot com).

p.s. it looks like Nintendo is distributing #SpringFest icons through the Nintendo Switch Online app on Switch again if you have enough platinum points. They'll be on there until the 13th of April. @splatoon@lemmy.world
