Our latest episode is now live! We cover the LulzSec hacking spree from 2011, and boy was it a busy 50 days for the 6 core hackers. All but one were ultimately caught, but it is a sprawling and occasionally humourous story. @chetwisniewski@securitycafe.ca was even indirectly involved and shared his thoughts with the BBC on the day their rampage ended (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AupFf80ZWhw)

Kasia Madera speaking to Chester Wisniewski, from the internet security firm Sophos, on hacking
Hello FediFriends. We forgot to do socials for this week's podcast!
Let's fix that. @0xBennyV@infosec.exchange and @chetwisniewski@securitycafe.ca discussed Wannacry this week. Can you believe that it has been 8 years already? Seems like it was only yesterday we watched some of the world's largest transportation companies succumb to "ransomware" and then it was accidentally thwarted by someone who claimed to be a security researcher, but was actually a malware author. What a peculiar story this one was...
You know what's coming up soon? The 25th anniversary of the ILOVEYOU/Love Bug/Love Letter worm. Not that it is something to celebrate. This will be the topic of our next episode which will be released in just over a week. Stay tuned...
Great news! The latest episode of Security Take(s) Two is finally posted! In this episode @0xBennyV@infosec.exchange and @chetwisniewski@securitycafe.ca look into the attacks against the City of Atlanta in 2018. Did they cost the city $2.6 million, $5 million or $17 million? More importantly why!? #InfoSec #Podcast https://securitytaketwo.com/cityofatlanta/
What topic is up next? Why, it's LulzSec, who put a whole new meaning to FFF (It isn't the same three keys on the piano).
It's a fascinating story and as always, we will do our best to extract some valuable lessons from the destructive mayhem, and often humorous antics of these criminals.

Episode 3 is in post-production and is one of our best yet! Hope to have it posted before too long. @0xBennyV@infosec.exchange and @chetwisniewski@securitycafe.ca explore the compound 3CX supply chain breach (Yay! No ransomware) in this episode. #podcast #infosec
Episode 002 covering the 2020 ransomware attack against Garmin is now posted. Find it wherever your prefer to download podcasts or visit our website to give it a listen! https://securitytaketwo.com/garmin/
We should be recording soon, unfortunately @0xBennyV@infosec.exchange was a bit hoarse from speaking loudly in the dry air at Black Hat and DEFCON, so we postponed recording until his return to Australia. We hope to record a new episode on the Garmin hack and have it posted later this week.
In the research phase for episode 4 now, we will be covering the attacks against the City of Atlanta by the SamSam ransomware group. Interesting political angles on the reporting in this one.
Recording finished. Episode 2 covering the Garmin breach and ransomware incident will be edited and published within the next 24 hours (Or your next episode is free!). Thanks for all of your support, especially those how enthusiastically grabbed our stickers at Hacker Summer Camp. Next opportunity is iCON in Santiago, CL next week.
Episode 5 is published in all the podcast happy places. @0xBennyV@infosec.exchange and @chetwisniewski@securitycafe.ca explore the pivotal moment when SamSam reinvented the ransomware game back in 2016. We are still left picking up the pieces today. Find it on YouTube @securitytaketwo@www.youtube.com Apple Podcasts https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/security-take-two-real-serious-security/id1748683002 Spotify https://open.spotify.com/show/0UTiICOlzbPmF0hal1Az1W or directly from the source https://securitytaketwo.com
Alright! The next episode is finally recorded and to be published soon. We blame the delay on the DDoS of the Internet Archive. To find out why, you will need to listen. Stay subscribed and find out soon. Topic: The City of Atlanta's ransomware attack.
Next episode is in the works. Too long a delay,. but X-Mas, COVID, a trip to Hawaii and summer break in Australia all conspired to delay this episode. @0xBennyV@infosec.exchange and @chetwisniewski@securitycafe.ca are back at the microphones later this week and hopefully published for your weekend enjoyment.
