@sven when it doubt, just reboot it maybe an embedded thing. i've done that with some ICs instead of figuring out how to reconfigure them. that's right tdk invensense, you got that treatment.

@sven that sounds like an unruly tangled web of dependencies to unravel and synchronize. you just need a bigger hammer to get it to be compliant.

@sven Is the bring up sequence and trickery with DWC3 also present on MacOS/Xen? More specifically, I'm curious if MacOS also needs to power cycle DWC3 on connection events or if they do something else. That seems like a really odd design choice. ;)
